Re-member Why You Came
May 16, 2025
I recently gave a bonus session to the E.M.B.O.D.Y. One members. I love to feel into the collective and shower them with gifts! Within that time together, we spoke to how we are really here to serve. To help one another, and to raise the collective energy. In part, we dove a little into Human Design I want to share.
Human Design has its pros and cons. I chose to become certificate in it because ...
-
It affirms things I’ve always felt but couldn’t explain—like why certain environments feel expansive
-
It gives language to the way we move through the world and serve from our design
- It helps me understand who to serve and how to help
- Of the shortcuts I have found to be able to cut through some energy limits (we put on ourselves)
I resist it sometimes because ...
- We can get caught up in "what we are" (I don't like sh*t defining me)
-
I’m not here to be boxed in by labels or reduced to a type
- It's another system we can give our power away to if we choose to
-
I’ve seen people get stuck in the system, using it as a ceiling rather than a doorway
Some people use Human Design like a script they can’t deviate from. I’d rather use it like a flashlight—helpful when things get dark, but not something I keep glued to my hand.
When used with intuition, not instead of it, it’s powerful. It’s a remembering tool.
It doesn’t assign you an identity. It reflects you back to yourself. And it can guide you to how you’re here to serve in a way that actually feels good.
We forget easily. That’s part of the deal our souls signed up for. Add in real-world pressure, noise, old conditioning—and it’s easy to drift.
If you've felt disconnected from your “why” or foggy around your direction, this is your nudge to recalibrate, and you can start RIGHT HERE!
1) First .. download your chart here, via this link.
2) Look to the Gate Connection Cheat Sheet at the bottom of this post.
3) Look to your "sun" on the chart which look like the images below. Go to the Gate Connections Cheat Sheet, and look at it through the lens of what you are here to help with.
4) Go below that to the earth symbol with the yellow mark, that looks like the image below. This is giving you whispers of how to stay healthy and vital, and then share that with others in service.
5) Then look to the image of your heart. See the image below as reference. This is your G Center, the center of identity and direction. Think of this as the compass of our soul!!
If this center is colored in (defined), you probably feel a strong internal sense of who you are and where you’re going. If it's white (like mine -- undefined), your path may feel more fluid, shaped by experiences and environment—AND THAT'S A GIFT TOO! This center helps brings clarity to our sense of “who I am” and “where I’m going”—this often informs your brand identity and niche clarity.
Take a look at the small numbers inside your G Center. These are the gates—each representing a unique way you’re designed to serve. If the line next to the number is colored in, that gate is active for you. This one below has the gates 7, 1, 13, 10, and 2 -- notice how the lines next to those numbers are colored in. Tune into yours, and use the information below to see what your gates tell you about how you serve. And you have NO lines colored in (like me)
Gate 1 – Serves through creative self-expression
Gate 2 – Guides others through direction and inner receptivity
Gate 7 – Leads others as a democratic voice
Gate 10 – Teaches others self-love and authentic living
Gate 13 – Holds and shares stories; serves as a witness or coach
Gate 15 – Serves through embracing diversity, rhythm, and inclusion
In the class I hosted for members, we also dove into shadows, fears, and WHO we are meant to serve and how. It is truly empowering to use this in conjunction with other tools, AND intuition to ... as our teens would say ... lock in!
If you want to feel all of this not just in your head, but in your body, with real people who are here to remember ... I offer many ways to do that.
Part of my remembering is I came here to help you unlock yours! Truly ... like literally.
I’m not built to rush or force clarity—I’m here to feel it, ride the wave, and respond when it’s right. My Incarnation Cross is the Right Angle Cross of Imagination (2), which is a fancy way of saying I’m wired to take the mess of experience and turn it into wisdom. Not just for me, but for others.
And then I have this interesting balancing of hermitiness ... to process, to be called out. While at the same time, community is something I am here to create and be a part of—stable, real, rooted.
I’m not here to sell a dream. I’m here to live it. With you.
If you’re ready to embody this work in real life, not just read about it, there are options right here!
